High-Middle School Announcements

NO TMI21 before or after school activities on Thursday because of the Cedar Point trip.

 

SOPHOMORES:   Please stop in Mrs. Baker’s Room on Friday morning before school to vote for Junior Class Officers.

 

High School Girls’ Basketball Meeting after school Friday, May 24 in Mr. Niese’s Room.  For all girls grades (8-11)  planning on playing basketball next year.

 

Anatomy students, please pick up your dissection shirts this week in Mrs. Gray’s Room.

 

There will be a meeting on Thursday during Academic Assist for students interested in playing golf next year in Mr. Miller’s Room.

 

ALL boys in Grades 8 – 11 interested in playing Summer Acme Baseball will practice Thursday, May 23 at 4:00 p.m.   Rain or shine

 

Any H.S.  track athletes who are NOT competing at the District Track meet, need to turn in their uniforms to Coach McMahon ASAP!  Or you will pay a fine.

 

Any young lady that would like to model their prom dress for the residents at Van Crest this Friday evening at 6 p.m.,  please call Irene at 264-0700.   The residents are having their own Prom.

 

Color Guard auditions will be during rookie camp, July 26th.   If you are interested, please stop in the bandroom and  see Mr. Williams to pick up the routine that you need to learn before then.

 

Lost and found:   Two cameras      Check in the office.

 

Through TMI21, students will have the opportunity to learn a variety of skills during the month of June.   Skills such as:  Media editing, photography, glass blowing, pottery, creative expression, fishing, camping, archery and survivor skills will be taught along with opportunities for field trips.   If interested, please see Mr. Dulle or Mrs. Thomas for details.

 

Boys Basketball Camp at Defiance College:   If you are interested in attending,  we have flyers in the High School Office for grades 2 – 9.    One session in June and another session will be held in July.

 

Sports physicals will be given Thursday, May 30 beginning at 1:30 p.m.    The cost is $20 and CHECKS are to be written to the Henry County Hospital.  Forms are in the office and your parents’ portion is to be filled out before you receive your physical.

 

Students that would like their grade cards mailed to them in June, please bring in a stamped self-addressed envelope to the office.

 

Chicken-Bar-B-Que will be Sunday, June 2 at Holgate Fire Department  11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.   Sponsored by the Holgate High School Boys Acme Baseball and High School Girls Softball.   Proceeds going towards outside batting cages.

 

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL:

Field Day is coming!  Sign up for the Middle School Crazy events in Miss Casillas’s Room.   Be the first to sign up for at least one event.  You can bring a sack lunch or let Mrs. Yenser know if you want a school packed lunch.  Each Middle School grade will have a color.  Please wear your class color on field day.

            8th grade – Blue

            7th grade – Purple

            6th grade – Red

                                                                                   

Middle School Student Council meeting Friday.

 

The Henry County Amateur Radio Club in conjunction with other amateur radio clubs around the world, will be participating in Field Day June 22nd and 23rd.   This event is designed to test amateur radio in field conditions.   For more information, please pick up a flyer in the High School Office.

 

 

 

 

CONGRATULATIONS  to the Junior High Girls Track Team for winning the GMC Track Meet Tournament last night with a total 105 points.   Also to the individual winners –

            1st places – 4x200 Girls team (Rebecca Meyer, Kirsten Hoffman, Lindsey Kelly, Jessi Aelker) ------ 1600m run and 800 m run – Gabbie Willett ------ 4x400 Girls team (Cameron Slee, Lindsey Kelly, Emma Willett, Gabbi Willett) ------- 200m Boys – Abel Corser -----4x200 Boys team (Gavin Santos, Clay Waisner, Damien Belmares, Abel Corser) ----Long Jump   - Gavin Santos

All TMI21 students going to Cedar Point tomorrow must report to atrium for Academic Assist today.   We will go over ALL the details for this trip.
